Projector display problem

How do I get my macbook air to show exactly what I have on the screen into the projector? please All I could see is the wallpaper. Mac is updated and all. tried display settings there is no arrangement button I even press opt key. Its not detecting the projector as an external display. HELP PLEASEEEEE

It sounds like you need to make just one small change. After connecting the projector, open System Preferences and select the Display Tab. If I'm right about what's going on, you'll see two dialog boxes - one labeled as your computer and one labeled as the projector - probably just called display. On the dialog labeled MacBook Air, click on the Arrangement tab and click on the mirror displays checkmark. That should do it.

Thanks for posting your question. As I understand it, you connected your Mac to a projector but you were only able to see your Mac's wallpaper. Is that right?
