Migration Assistant Our wonderful son gifted us with a brand new iMac! I am trying to migrate files from a PC but the Migration Assistant program keeps saying "An error occurred while preparing your information for transfer". I have turned off anti-virus & downloaded the correct version of MA as directed by Apple support to the same result. I have a backup of the PC on Carbonite, but the process of downloading files is tedious! I would much prefer to connect with PC via ethernet cable and transfer files. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

DNS Error - event ID 5504

DNS server has received an invalid domain name. By invalid it means that it contains invalid characters. MS DNS only supports 0-9, a-z, A-Z, . (dot), and - (hyphen) as part of a domain name.
