I would like to use my own photos as screen saver. Googling it I find that I should click the source drop down menu in system pref./screensaver. I'm using Catalina and there is no such drop down menu. So what do I do?

You have to choose one of the screen savers that displays photos such as Classic, Ken Burns, etc.
And how does that help me use my own photos like I did with all previous (well since Tiger) OS?
