Two-sided printing greyed out in Mojave for Epson multifunction printers

I didn't find an answer to this issue in the community but I did discover a solution. If two-sided printing is greyed out for your Epson utilizing Mojave this is the solution:

1) System Preferences> Printers & Scanners

2) Select printer

3) Delete the printer by pressing the "-" sign

4) Add a printer by pressing the "+" sign

5) Select the printer that lists "Bonjour Multifunction" under the "Kind" heading

Two sided printing should no longer be greyed out in the printer dialoge box.
