I can’t pair my new iPhone 11 Pro with my 1st generation Apple Watch

I’m trying to pair my new iPhone 11 Pro with my 1st generation Apple Watch and as usual i aligned the camera to the Apple Watch face and it wont do anything. I unpaired my watch from my iphone 11 and erased the app and like i said tried to pair it with my new iPhone 11 Pro with the usual pairing but nothing happens.
