OLE action

Hi guys, I have a MacBook Pro that I upgraded to Catalina, only discoed my office package does not work so have downgraded back to Majove, all fine and tbh much faster than before.

I use excel a lot and have a spreadsheet with with a lot of hyperlinks linked to several word documents, when I now push any of the hyperlinks I am confronted with a message telling me Microsoft Excel is waiting for another application to complete an OLE action. The excel is frozen and the hyperlink does not open.

I have tried the usual fixes but not really getting very far, Is there way to solve this please?

Thanks

Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) action is a technology allowing Office apps to interact with other apps. It

allows an editing app to send part of a document to other apps and then

it imports it or it takes it back with more content.
