How to competely reset (delete) my iCloud Music Library (without affecting my offline Itunes library).

I recently started using Apple Music, and I like it quite a lot.

I have seen that a very interesting feature is advertised, namely the fact that my itunes library on OSX can be synced with apple music, allowing me to stream all my songs, even those who aren't available on apple music os songs I manually added to itunes from CDs and other sources.

I tried this feature (enabling all the appropriate settings both in itunes and apple music on my iPhone), but there seem to be some problems.

I can only see stuff I purchased on iTunes in my Apple Music library and if I enable iCloud library in itunes the "gathering information about your library" thing hangs forever.

I don't mind...

The problem is probably due to the fact I'm on High Sierra (which still has the old iTunes app), while iTunes Match only seems to be available on the new Apple Music app (released on Mojave).

I was just wondering if ther was a way to compeltely delete any of my songs that could have been uploaded to the iCloud music library, to be used with this functionality (Of course I don't want to delete my local iTunes library, which I painstakingly created in years of iTunes offline use).

I have lots of tracks I made, added to itunes and I wouldn't want any of those being uploaded on some apple server without me knowing.

I basically want to reset it all as before I started using this sync thing.

and, I will ask the hosts to move this topic to the iTunes forum where we have all those iTunes gurus hang out...

Would it also be possible to remove the "solved" tag from this thread?

I apologize for my clumsiness, I'm new to the apple community (been here since 2015, but barely used the service).

Calling Apple will not help. Apple does not take any action here in the communities - the only people that do are the hosts (or moderators) and you cannot call them. And, once points are assigned, Apple will not change that.

Unfortunately, once a solved has been awarded, it cannot be removed.

I chose the iTunes/Music section for you because that is where the people are who would have the most appropriate and correct answers for you (I am not that person, I do not use iTunes or Music at all).

I do not have problem.

No one can call a moderator or host.

Please stop posting such irrelevant and confusing posts.

And, the OP did not need to go to another community - I simply asked that the thread be moved. And it was.

You should answer questions only when you are sure you have the answer to the question (suggesting that someone call Apple is only good if no one here can solve the problem). And, here is something that might help you understand how the forums work:

We are not allowed to ask for points or anything else - we are not Apple employees and we do not get paid. We help because we want to help. It also gets too confusing to the OP if there are too many side conversations. Simply answer questions when you know you have the correct answer.
