Watch incorrect name when communicating

Hi all,

just got my first Apple Watch. It is set up in my name on my iPhone but when communicating with me refers to me as my daughters nickname.

I have no idea how this is happening as the only device attached to my iPhone with this name is her Garmin vivofit jr.

any ideas how to fix this?

1.On the iPhone, check the contacts app and your contact card. Make sure this has the correct name, Apple ID, and phone number

2.Open the Watch app on the iPhone, then go to General > About. Make sure your name is listed here

3.In the same screen (General > About), tap on Apple ID to ensure your Apple ID is signed in.
