Music into iMovie?

I have Music 1.0.2.37 and iMovie 10.1.14. My music is not showing up in iMovie. How do I get it there?

iMac 27", macOS 10.13

Apple Music cannot be used in iMovie because it is a subscription service and because the songs are DRM (copyright) protected. You can purchase songs in iTunes and those will be usable in iMovie.
