Swollen battery after 2 years

I bought an ipod 6 two years ago. The battery is swollen making it unusable. Apple doesn't replace/fix it. Why would I buy a new device from Apple with the battery problems they are having...

iPod, iOS 12

Apple will replace your iPod with a refurbished iPod 6 with a new battery. Depending on what they decide you will either be charged $79 for a battery replacement or $129 for a out-of-warranty repair. You may have to negotiate with them to get the lower price.
