Keyboard Backlight Not Working As Intended

The keyboard backlight on my macbook pro (2017, w/o touchbar) suddenly stopped working as inteded today. Only a few keys glow under the backlight - and even those keep changing from time to time.

And for the keys for which the backlight glows, the adjustment for the backlight doens't seem to work.

I have tried the PRAM and SMC reset, it doesn't seem to fix it.

Restarting few times changed the keys which light up, mostly to be stuck for a few keys only now.

{The Q-P, 1-0, and the Function keys}

Any help would be appreciated.
