No email

I cannot get email on my new iMac Pro. Also I cannot close my computer because email will not close.

Emails remaining in outbox when attempting to send. Hi all, i have two older iMac’s (late 2009) and up until a few days ago everything was working as it should. Although now both computers aren’t allowing emails to be sent and the emails are remaining in the outbox. I’m not a very technically minded person, have basic knowledge hence why I’m asking for help here. The emails are sending through iPads and phones so it’s not the internet or the email providers (I think). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

email not coming in on iMac My husband can no longer get or send email on his old iMac OS High Sierra 10.13.6 This has been going on for about a month. I have tried every basic fix but still not working. I am still working on trying to find him a solution so he can access his email. I noticed that he gets a pop-up box which says: Profiles/MDM wants to make changes. It looks like the MDM is our internet service provider comcast/xfinity. He has aways just cancelled it and moved on. Now I wonder whether that is part of the issue? Or is his computer so old and running on an outdated OS? Anyone able to shed some light on this, I would be so grateful. Thank you!

If you run the connection doctor within the mail app, what does it say? Use Connection Doctor in Mail on Mac - Apple Support

If you are getting an error that there is something wrong with the server that is being used, you should remove and the re-add your email account. Add or remove email accounts in Mail on Mac - Apple Support

Also, force quit the Mail app by clicking on Apple logo in the top left corner of the screen, and selecting force quit from the drop down menu and then selecting the mail app.
