Ford Sync/Message Notification Issue- iOS 13

I understand there is a closed topic on this that said to just update your sync which I did when I get a message connected to by Bluetooth to my Ford Escape’s sync touch (sync 2) it displays I have a message and let’s me listen to it but always makes it as read in message app so if I don’t listen like before in iOS 12 it would give me a badge icon so when I later look at my phone reminding me you have a message. Second problem I now have is if I’m texting like for example my wife before going home my car pops up a message saying you have blah many messages right after connecting to sync. so and it’s like 10-30 min before I’m in the car that we are chatting. First I thought wow it’s reminding me that she responded but now it says it for old messages I already have seen. I have already contacted apple 3 times about this with no fix.
