Question

s88 mk2 sustain pedal & Mod wheel not working

Hi Everyone,

Just wondered if anyone has any ideas why My S88 MK2 sustain and mod wheel doesn't work in logic. All keys work and pitch wheel works

I also have an Alesis VI61 connected where everything works fine. I moved the usb cable from the S88 to the Alesis (just in case) & everything works.

The S88 is definatly outputting info as i downloaded reaper to test it and it works fine.

Had the S88 about 4 months and everything was fine up until about 2 weeks ago.

tried messing with logic settings but maybe i'm missing something

Any ideas

No, a reinstall on the Mac mostly does nothing.

Go to the upper left Logic Pro X menu and find Control Surfaces, try Reset To Defaults and/or Bypass All Control Surfaces.

See if that helps.

p.s. You didn't follow instruction exactly don't forget the ~

Reset to Defaults, that did nothing?

You could follow my instructions exactly in the link I sent and delete the Control Surface Preference file, ends with .cs

Guess what, Bypass all control surfaces worked. Thank you very much.

But do i have to do this every time i open a session.

Not too much of a problem i suppose but i'd rather not if possible.

Believe it or not in my small circle of producers i'm normally the one they come to for help with software issues so i am always trying to learn.

Hi Pancenter,

Very strange i don't seem to have 'com.apple.logic10.plist' file in the location you mentioned. There are no com.apple.logic files at all. I deleted this a few weeks back but assumed it automatically comes back. Do you think a full re install of logic might do the trick.
