iPhone 7, Photos, ! - HELP!!!

I'm trying to upload a couple photos to FB for my profile pics, but it point blank refuses to work. It has to be because my entire phone has an ! for every photo and video (which buffer endlessly and refuse to play). It's not that I'm running out of room, and every time I go to reset iCloud I get this message.

"do you want to download a copy of your icloud photos to this iphone? photos and videos that have been optimized to save space will be removed from this iphone. the original, full versions will still be available on other devices using icloud photos"]

Needless to say, I refuse to take this risk. I don't want to lose my stuff, since this is the only place some of my precious pictures exist. I can't afford to lose them. Nothing I've done works. I need help.

It's not that I'm running out of room, and every time I go to reset iCloud I get this message.

Where are you not running out of room? How much free storage is in iCloud? And how much free storage is on your iPhone?

The "!" is indication that your iPhone cannot download the original photo from iCloud.

  • Either your iPhone cannot save the downloaded photo because you are running out of local storage on your iPhone,
  • or your iPhone cannot download the photos because you do not have enough storage in iCloud and iCloud stopped working altogether,
  • or because there is a problem with your AppleID
  • or because there is a problem with your network.

Are you using a cellular network or Wi-Fi? Is the iPhone fully charged? Is your AppleID working (You can check this by trying to purchase a free app)?

Thanks, I think I figured it out. I'm good with iCloud storage, but it's my local storage that's nearly filled. I totally forgot those were two different things.

Now I gotta figure out how to resolve that because I'm not changing my Verizon plan, lol. They get enough money out of me.
