When booting my iMac a Yahoo browser keeps generating new tabs to the point when it shuts down. I have booted in safe mode and I would like to stop the application. How can I see the processes that will start up when I start my imac?

Thanks but this (see photo) is what I get when I boot. Interestingly the Disk
utility says everything is fine but I can't reinstall the operating system without internet access and wireless access didn't work. Apple support told me to recycle the computer.
Apparently I'm not in safe mode despite holding down the shift key and getting the apple logo and progress bar or there are no appsrunning. I think its possible the genius bar wiped out my hard drive in an attempt to transfer files to my new computer. 😩

Apple > System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Items.
Try watching Activity Monitor.
Try running Malwarebytes.
How can I see what apps are running and stop one when in safe mode?
