Hi Sailor Ed,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! I understand you are receiving a delivery failure notice when sending email, and I'd like to help.

Based on the details shared, to confirm, are you sending an email from your Gmail account to your @iCloud.com account? Please clarify. Does this happen if anyone tries to send you an email to your @icloud.com account? When you check your iCloud storage, how much free space do you have available: Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support. If you're running low on storage space, this may be a reason why you are not able to receive email to an @icloud.com account. You'll want to try freeing up some space if that is the case.

Otherwise, I would recommend steps in this article: If you can’t send or receive emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.

Best regards.

Sailor Ed,

We can understand wanting to get this cleared up, for sure. Let's continue working together.

It seems like your iCloud account has plenty of available space, and the daemon alert appears to be related to a Gmail account. I'd like to explore this further. Please sign in to your account on the Apple ID account page here: Manage your Apple ID - Apple. Do you see any Gmail accounts listed as being associated to your @icloud.com email account (additional email, rescue email, etc)? About your Apple ID email addresses - Apple Support. If so, remove any Gmail accounts related to your account, that you do not wish to use.

Also, review your Mail settings on your device by navigating to Settings > Passwords & Accounts > Accounts. Make sure you delete any Gmail accounts listed here, that you no longer desire to use. This is referenced under the section titled, 'Check your Mail settings', in this article: If you can’t send or receive emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.

Keep me posted. Regards.

i_rina,

Thanks for the reply. Sorry I was not clear. I just conducted another test and received a similar response. My wife sent me an email, from her iCloud account to mine, no gmail accounts involved. I receive the email but she receives an autoresponse like the original post. My iCloud account shows 109.4 GB free.

So emails are getting through to me but all senders to my icloud account receive the autoreply regarding a gmail account that I have no connection with. All of the routine bills are getting bounced back and the senders are contacting me numerous ways saying the emails were bounced back. Naturally this is a tremendous hassle and frustrating. I did change my password as soon as the errors started just to be safe.

Still looking for a solution. Thanks.

Checked all of the recommendations listed above, still no resolution. I can send emails from devices just fine, it is sending from an external account to my icloud which causes a bounceback for a non affiliated gmail account, the emails are received by the icloud account. This causes all of the companies to think I am not receiving email at my icloud account. All of my accounts are now sending me notices in the mail stating that my emails are getting bounced back. Frustrating. I do appreciate the assistance. Thanks.
