why won't my mac sync with iPhone calendar invitations that come from Outlook or other invitation platform?

Why won't my MacBook Pro sync with iPhone calendar invitations that come from Outlook or other invitation platform? The invitations are in red on my phone, but they do not appear on the laptop. Other things do sync fine.

Hi, DavidS722.

It sounds like you have some questions about syncing calendars between your iPhone and your Mac. Calendars are helpful, so I can understand why you’d want them to sync. I’m happy to help.

I suggest that you start with the steps shown, here: Sync contacts and calendars between your Mac and iPhone or iPad

If the issue persists, or I do not have a correct understanding of the issue, consider answering the following questions.

  • Do you use the Calendar app or third-party app on your Mac?
  • Do you have the same accounts set up on your Mac and your iPhone?

Best wishes.

Hello, DavidS722.

From my understanding, you are able to sync your calendars but one invite does not appear on your Mac. Is my understand correct? If not, please correct me.

It sounds like you are using your iCloud calendar, so I suggest working through these steps: If your iCloud Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders won’t sync - Apple Support

If that does not resolve the issue, please respond to this thread.

  • Do you sync your Calendars to iCloud?
  • Is it just one invite that won’t sync?
  • Can that invite be resent to you?

Take care.

Thank you for your reply, Moon, but it didn't sort out the problem. I went to iCloud.com and made sure my calendar on my MacBook pro could receive In-app invitations (in Preferences/Advanced). I thought that would sort it out, but it didn't. It's weird that the iPhone has the invitation included on the calendar, but the MacBook Pro does not. I've received other Outlook invitations and they sync fine between the MacBook and the iPhone.

So, to answer your questions: I use the Calendar app on my Mac, and yes they are the same accounts on both the Mac and the iPhone.

Any other suggestions? The invitation seems to have come from Outlook. I thought for a moment that it came from
