Facetime and iMessage

I recently changed my iPhone from an 8+ to an X and the phone number I used on the 8+ is what I’m using in the X. FaceTime and iMessages was working perfectly on with that phone number . But after I changed to the X, iMessage and FaceTime doesn’t use my number but my email. There are no options for me to use my number Instead. I changed the number and the new number registered immediately. I had to reset my phone and clear everything but still. Really hope you can help me out

Help info...Add or remove your phone number in Messages or FaceTime - Apple Support


Just do this...change your Apple ID password...that resets your phone number...If that doesn't work, contact Apple Support.
