Apps Hanging & Crashing

We got my father a brand new 7th generation iPad (10.2in, 32gb, WiFi) for Christmas just five weeks ago. He has been using it since then, but lately his apps hang or crash/close on him. For example, after he taps on a basic news app, it’ll act like it’s going to open, except after several seconds it completely closes. This is the case for every other app. Even pressing the home button twice to display all open apps usually does nothing.

All apps are updated and his iOS is 13.3. I’ve made sure he is actually turning it off once daily instead of just putting it to sleep when he’s done with it. He doesn’t have much on it, just a handful of basic apps - news, Instagram, Solitaire, and the like. He doesn’t use it for gaming or to store thousands of photos.

What can we do next? Thanks.

Hello,

Try updating to iPadOS 13.3.1 to see if it resolves your problem.
