iphone 7 socket repair

I bought a new lightning cable but suddenly my phone stops charging completely.

Is my socket broken and do you get it repaired? How much would that be?

or can you do it yourself?

my lightning cable has been damaged So my lightning cable has been damaged but only the one end which we plug to our phone. So i was curious and i left my phone charging overnight knowing that it won’t charge since there is no sign of charging (no charging symbol) but incredibly, my phone is charged to full now. Brand new phone and charger won’t seat I just got the iPhone 7 new. And a new lightning cable with it. And the cable won’t seat well in the iPhone. I’ve tried another cable be sme problem. It makes charging very precarious. So is it just a defect or maybe something I can try to fix it. Don’t think the iPhone 7’s are still under warranty unfortunately for me. Anyways thanks for reading.

Did you buy a genuine Apple cable? Do you have another cable to test with, or can you borrow one? If it doesn't work with any cable, then it's more likely that the charging port is the issue. If it's in warranty there is no fee, otherwise you can view replacement pricing here: https://support.apple.com/iphone/repair/service#otherfees.
