MS Exchange won't sync to Contacts and Calendar in 10.15.3

Update MBP tp 10.15.3 on release day. MS Exchange calendars and contacts that worked fine on Apple's Calendar and Contacts apps now simply do not sync. The message I get reads: "Calendar can’t refresh the account “Exchange”. There was an error attempting to send your changes to the exchange server.

I have tried:

  • cleaning calendar cache in ~/Library/Calendars;
  • deleting the entire Exchange Internet Account (multiple times), and re-adding, in System Prefs.
  • creating new user;
  • re-installing a clean Catalina 10.15.3 OS;

None of these worked.

I have not mentioned Mail as I use MS Outlook for Mac - and all info there (email, calendar and contacts) is accurate.

Point of interest: changes in Outlook for Mac (v 16.33) are accurately reflected on iPhone 11 running iOS13.3.1, and vice-versa, as well as iPadOS13.3.1


Any ideas on a fix are greatly appreciated.

Tried multiple solutions, nothing has worked "flawlessly and permanently".

One thing to try - in Outlook for Mac, in calendar, select Exchange calendar, right click and select properties. Select Empty Cache. This rebuilds Exchange calendar and may take some time depending on how much you have. Once it finishes rebuilding, the same Exchange calendar on Apple's Calendar app on MacOS, should be working.

Fingers crossed. Mine has worked for 1 hour so far.
