I am having same issue on left AirPod pro. I believe the issue is with noise cancellation. I am able to replicate the crackling static sound while wearing the AirPods with no music playing simply by humming at a certain frequency. This static cracklings occurs in both noise cancelation and transparency mode, but goes away completely when placed in the off mode.

Paid for the credit card hold, and got a replacement sent out, which went fine and resolved the issue for the left airpod

2 weeks later and now the right airpod has developed the same problem, here we go again

Absolutely right regarding warranty, at least cover the replacement new hardware with the original warrenty

At this rate I'm going to have entirely new hardware by the time the warrenty runs out

I have the same problem. I have had my pair of AirPod Pros for about 5 months and the left one is sounding like it is blown when there is bass in a song. I also have been very carful with them and they have not come in contact with water or been dropper. I love then except for that one issue. For the money I should not be having that issue.

Same issue

bought in November 2019, same issue as described started in Jan

got the left airbud replaced by Apple after a couple of visits to Genius Bar due to them being Out of Stock. I explicitly asked at the time if the replacement airbud is covered by warranty, and was told only for the duration of the original warranty from the date of purchase, funny that

another 3 months later in April, the same issue has occurred on the same left airbud they replaced, and now stores are shut, to get it replaced they want to place a credit card hold for the value of the replacement! I have let the issue progress in the hope the stores will open again, and it has got significantly worse and occurs even with the active modes off. Even the bass of a mans voice on a work conference call now causes the left AirPod to sound blown

This will get replaced but I have no faith that the same issue will not present again in 3 more months, then again 3 months later when the warranty ends and, surprise surprise I will be liable to pay

The suggestion of unpairing and repairing, or asking if a water resistant product has been in contact with water, is a typical user blaming response I’ve come to expect from Apples Product Repair as a Service model their low quality hardware drives

I hope anybody searching for: Air pro reviews, AirPod pro issues, AirPod pro problems, AirPod pro Quality come across this to make a better decision
