I am having same issue on left AirPod pro. I believe the issue is with noise cancellation. I am able to replicate the crackling static sound while wearing the AirPods with no music playing simply by humming at a certain frequency. This static cracklings occurs in both noise cancelation and transparency mode, but goes away completely when placed in the off mode.

I have the same issue with my left air piece, I have AirPod pro.. it seems like vibration and I only own it for a couple of months. What did you do here??

Company should must check their manufacturing fault
The same as mine, so do they replace the airpods for you?? because i just send mine in for diagnose today. have to wait for 10-14 days.
