Hello elroyFernandes,
Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! I understand that you have been unable to create a keyboard shortcut to access the Finder Tags.
Check out this information on how you can use keyboard shortcuts to tag files quickly from this article: Use tags to organize files on Mac.
"Tip: Use keyboard shortcuts to tag files quickly—select a file, then use Control-1 through Control-7 to add (or remove) your favorite tags. Control-0 (zero) removes all tags from a file."
All the best!

You are attempting to assign a Finder reserved keyboard shortcut (hide sidebar), and of course that won't work.
There is a bigger problem though, in that you can assign an unreserved Finder keyboard shortcut (e.g. ^T), and it may or may not work on the first try without having to perform a killall Finder in the Terminal. Then it may work once or twice, and then consistently ignore your keyboard shortcut — until you perform another killall Finder, and then rinse repeat with further shortcut failures. And no visible keyboard shortcut will appear on the Finder File menu for Tags… either.
There is something unique about how this Finder primary menu item is implemented, and how it also appears on a secondary menu — that loathes consistent keyboard shortcut assignment. You will not be able to implement a consistent shortcut.
is there a way that I can create a shortcut for this?
