Can't view conditional Formatting of Excel Spreadsheet in Apple Mail

When I open my excel spreadsheet with conditional formatting (if the value is a certain point it will turn the cell green, yellow, or red) in Apple Mail, the colors of the boxes are different than when I open them in Excel. How can I get Apple Mail to recognize the colors and ensure they are consistent across devices?

I have attached a picture showing the issue. One picture is a screenshot of the colors on my iPhone and the other is a picture of my desktop computer with the colors correctly conditionally formatted. One whole row of conditional formatting is not even showing up on the iPhone. I have tried removing the formatting, I have used numbers to update the formatting to an "iPhone friendly" format and this only further screwed up the numbers when exporting and sending it back to excel. I would love to keep the colors, but when this spreadsheet is sent out it is opened on iPhone and quite alarming just seeing the colors prior to the numbers being misrepresented underneath.

Any help is appreciated!

I am assuming many things here. I can see that your are using formula driven conditional formatting. I am not aware of the conditions used by you.

If the condition used by you is..

  1. Values of cells within the cell range
  2. Values of cells corresponding to a cell value out side the cell range.

Probably in your case the bullet point two is what is used. Looking at the 10th row I assume that the value used to condition format these cells is outside the range.

Assuming so please look at the cell value which is used as a target / pivot condition outside of the range being conditional formatted. Check if it has not changed the cell address assigned to the conditional formatting. Because in most of the default conditions the cell addresses use $ sign indicating as frozen (Does not change if more columns or rows added).

And if you have added a column or row later, while exporting to iPhone things may have changed.
