Coating for ipad screen

I have an iPhone XR and I swear I hardly ever get finger prints on it. On my iPad Pro I have so many finger prints and smudges I can’t believe I can still see what’s on the screen. I know I do you want to replace the screen, but is there a coating that can be applied that would emulate the screen of my XR?

In my area, there used to be kiosk services in my local shopping malls that were a tablet screen coating service that could apply a really good anti-reflective, smudge free coating on iPads.

This was a really tough tablet coating service that cost approx. $30 to apply and was, supposedly, guaranteed to last for up to 5 years on the device.

Can't remember the name of tablet coating company/service, but the coating took about an hour to two hours to fully cure/adhere to the iPad's screen.

So, you needed to hang around the mall for awhile while this coating was being applied to your iPad.

I do not know if such tablet screen coating services still exist, anywhere or even online.

You have the option of using something like a glass or thin filmed, matte screen protector on your iPad's screen, instead.

Do an online search for PaperLike 2 matte screen protector for iPads.

Best of Luck to You!

No.

This was a different kiosk company that actually applied an actual coating to the screen.

It was called Armor Coat, or something very similar.

It was something available about 4 years, ago when I purchased my 12.9 iPad Pro from Apple.

By the time I had decided to try this product and returned to my local mall about a few months later, where I saw this service this coating service kiosk was gone, never to return.

I think screen protector companies put these coating services out of business.

I think it was from Zagg (they were in one of our malls here). I checked Zagg when I got the last iPad and they now want about $60 for their glass cover (does not include installation) which I find a bit too much. And I still have theirs on my older iPad - which, by the way, also gets smudgy, just maybe not quite as fast.
