Password Needed to Move Item to Trash Mac OS 10.15

mac keeps asking for password to put item in trash This just randomly started. Running Ventura 13.2.1. All of a sudden I need a password to put item in trash or even copy something to the desktop. I am the only account on the computer and am the admin. I cannot figure out why this is happening....

I am having difficulty clearing the trash folder This item was cleaned partially. Errors: /Users/npequignot/Library/Mobile Documents/com~apple~CloudDocs/.Trash/Install macOS Mojave.app: “Install macOS Mojave” couldn’t be removed because you don’t have permission to access it. The file was initially done back in Jan when I was updating the FS. It is currently indicated as being in use and I can delete it. I have opened a terminal window, tried chmod, etc. No luck. Also it is in the cloud and greater than 6GB in size. So I really do want to delete the file. Thanks, Nick

Finder wants password confirmation when moving or deleting file / Big Sur Hello, I've reset OSX today and copy/pasted all the folders from a time machine backup to my fresh installation. Now finder asks me for my password for every change I want to make on those files. The user rights seem to be ok. It's read and write and I have admin rights.

Depending on what item you are trying to move to the trash, a request for your password may be perfectly normal and correct. What are you trying to move to trash?

Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to this. It has never happened before. An item in a folder or the folder itself (documents). asks for password or it doesn't. I have been having a terrible time with permissions ever since I went to Catalina. I'm going to reinstall 10.15 and see if that helps.
