Safari 13.0.4 Broken on Apple ID Logins?

Victory is sweet. I decided to upgrade my problem machine, the 2017 MBP, to Mohave. Yes, Safari now works again as it should. My victory is just a lucky one me thinks, but still yay!!! Try it Eric?

Yes, that is what I meant. As mention above, I solved my High Sierra problem by upgrading to Mohave. Also, I had two Sierra machines. Safari worked correctly on both of them. One of them is a mid 2011 11" MBA. Contacts weren't syncing on it, and I could not figure out why not. So, I upgraded it to High Sierra. Contacts now sync, and Safari on High Sierra works correctly. Go figure.

I now have decided that the problem is not as widespread as I thought. Indeed, given the number of posts here, I think it is was restricted to only my 2107 High Sierra MBP and your High Sierra/Safari 12.1.2 machine. 😂

I solved it by upgrading to Mohave. See above. Thank you though.

Have many have been successful fixing the Safari thing by reinstalling OS X? https://support.apple.com/guide/safari/if-you-cant-open-a-safari-window-ibrw1077/13.0/mac/10.15 I haven't looked around this morning, but it seems like the Safari problem is being sort of hushed up.

Thank you much mj. Why an I having no problem with Safari on my Catalina MBP? "Also, Safari works fine in all contexts on my Catalina MBA." I am with you on Firefox and Chrome. Firefox is ugly, and Chrome is as you say. And, actually, I had tried upgrading to 13.0.5. Glad I didn't start cloning back or reinstalling High Sierra otherwise. I was tempted. I'm in 13.0.4 in Catalina.

I'd bet that's it. 😇 But, hey, I worked hard to get a Catalina MBA. I went to an Apple Store and questioned "everyone" thoroughly to make sure that if I bought a machine at the store, then I would get a Catalina machine. Got home, set it up, and, well, ugh, it was a Mohave. I wanted to start with a perfectly clean slate so I took the MBA back. A few days later I felt returners remorse because I didn't know how long it would be before I would have been absolutely guaranteed to get a Catalina MBA. I got the Store to get me one from their latest delivery, knowing that was no real insurance on getting a Catalina. And, I didn't. So I upgraded immediately to Catalina. All has been good with the MBA except maybe a few minor things I pay no attention to. I am glad I didn't get an MBP, especially a 16."

Wow! We have a 2017 still running Sierra. I see no reason to move higher on it. I only upgraded my 2017 MBP to High Sierra so I could get Office Home/Student 2019. The move to the Catalina machine is part of my march to 32-bit freedom and leaving some other applications behind. I also got Office 2019 for the Catalina machine.

Are there any stats out there on which machines/OS X installations are having the problem. I just found out that I don't have a problem on either of my Sierra machines. And, as noted above, I don't have a problem on my Catalina machine. The only bad Apple (🤣) is my High Sierra machine, my work horse machine.
