EFI Out of Date on rMBP15 2015 macbookpro11,4

Greetings: I can't find an updater for this EFI on my macbookpro11,4 from 2015. I have updated to Mojave and re-installed it (losing my 3rd party applications I might add) but the EFI is still considered 'out of date' according to apple's information. Please advise and thank you.

The article was updated in 2017 so the information should be current for 2015 models. I am familiar with Oakely's site and free apps. You can always ask him about it. I have no idea how the error is being generated. All Mac disks have and EFI partition that was once used for boot code but is no longer used for anything. Nevertheless, there does not seem to be firmware information about the 11,4 model. I have checked another source which showed no update.

Both Mojave and Catalina installers will do firmware updates as part of the installation process such that it is out of the hands of the user. Have you checked the firmware versions using System Information? Have you called Apple Support for assistance?

Yes, I believe it is now the 'norm' for Apple to include EFI updates inside OS updates, etc. This knowledge-based article you quote is 'Archived' and not updated by Apple currently. Using silentnight16 by Howard Oakely on his Eclectic site, it shows an out of date EFI. I've also seen this elsewhere but can't remember at this moment where. I occ. get error windows about EFI and send these on to Apple but can't find anything to support remedy on the net. AFAIK, it doesn't make sense to not update firmware for our computers but I'm not Apple.
