Music app does not remember window size

Thanks for getting back to us with the additional details. Since the behavior is happening only in a specific user account, I'd like to have you rule out login items for your admin account next:

If your Mac has a blue screen or other startup problems - Apple Support

"Test your login items

1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Users & Groups.
2. Click your account name below Current User, then click Login Items at the top of the window.
3. Make a list of the login items—you’ll need to remember them later.
4. Select all of the login items, then click the Remove button .
5. Choose Apple menu > Restart.
6. If this solves the problem, open Users & Groups preferences again, add the login items one at a time, and restart your Mac after adding each one.
7. When the problem occurs again, follow the steps above to remove only the last login item you added."

If it's not related to login items, try to reset permissions of items in your home folder next:

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand that when you quit and reopen the Music app on your Mac, it does not open with the last window size and position used. You've come to the right place for help.

I would like to start by having you test if this behavior occurs when you have "Close windows when quitting an app" deselected in System Preferences on your Mac:

If there's no change after adjusting that setting, testing in safe mode or another user account could help us further isolate potential causes:

Let us know what happens after trying those steps. Also, is this happening specifically with the Music app or have you experienced it with other apps as well? Are you restarting the Mac, logging out of your user account, or just quitting and reopening the Music app?

I previously already removed all login items temporarily without any change.

Also updated permissions on home folder without a change.

What solved it for me was: create a backup of ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Music.plist

Then delete that file. After that music app again did remember size and placement of window. Note that settings will be lost - make sure to create screenshots of the settings you use before deleting the file.

Your solution works very well until closing Apple Music App with a full screen. It will stop working until I repeat your resolution.

There is a bug in Apple Music App when it close in full screen, it appeared. Apple needs to fix their bug.

NOTE: My "full screen" is max out the windows size to all 4 edges, not the green button on the top left corner. I didn't test all scenarios.
