Down load e books

What can of file would I use to down load e books to my iPad, do not have any type loaded on my tablet?older model 4, 10.3

ePub book support on new iPad? I use Overdrive to borrow books and read them on my iPad. I recently purchased a new iPad and I received a message that the device does not support ePub books. What???? Files vs Books I download user manual to access and read them on my iPad. But now I have the option to download to files. I have older manuals that I need stored on the Books App. Which should I use, Files or Books? I seem to be unable to move files to Books nor able to move my older manuals in Books to Files.

To download books from Apple Books Store you need the Books app. Book stores, like Kobo and Kindle have their own apps. Bluefire Reader is a good app which I use for library books.
