Presenter notes won't save in Keynote?

I've been downloading the slides my professors post and then I'll take notes on the slide using the presenter's notes. However, I went back to read my notes and they were gone. Am I doing something wrong to view them and if not is there any way to get them back? Should I be saving them a certain way before closing keynote so I can view them next time?

Thank you!

Hi skg0404,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Apple Support Communities. I understand that notes you are adding to a Keynote presentation aren't being saved when you open the presentation later.

I'm glad to help with this.

This Keynote User Guide explains all about presenter notes: Add and view presenter notes in Keynote on Mac

If your notes still are not there after you've checked everything against this guide, some additional things should be checked.

  • Does this happen in all Keynote presentations, or only certain ones?
  • Has your professor created and saved these presentations in Keynote?
  • Has your professor protected the presentation from edits with any sort of permissions?
  • If you create a new Keynote presentation, are you able to create presenter notes, save the presentation, reopen it and edit and save new notes?

Take Care.
