Disk Utility

I can't open my Disk Utility, It says : I can't use this application Disk Utility with this version of Mac OS.

Disk Utility is 11.1 and my Mac OS I just updated to 10.15.3.

I want to install a new external HD and need to configure this.

iMac 27", macOS 10.15

External HD Not Opening in FCPX 10.6 Hi, I'm using OS Big Sur on my 2016 MacBook Pro. For some reason my external hard drive shows up in FCPX but, as if it is empty. I tried opening another HD in which I had the same results. I went ahead and re-installed FCPX which didn't help. The following is what it looks like in FCPX when trying to import media. SG Silver is the external HD. Your help would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks

Catalina 10.15.3's Disk utility should be version 19.0

Are you sure you are getting it from the Utilities folder in the Applications folder? You may have an old version somewhere else.

FWIW, the current version of Disk Utility is 19.0. 11.1 is about 12 years old.
