Lock screen briefly inverts colors?

I just updated my iPhone 6s to iOS 13.3.1 and I've noticed that every time I go to the lock screen (checking time, notification just came in, etc) the colors are inverted for about a second, before they go back to normal. I checked my settings and inverted colors is off (both classic and smart), yet it still does this. Everything else has normal colors, including the home screen. It's only when I wake the screen that it does this.

It starts with the white image for a second, and then flips to normal with the color image. I couldn’t post a recording so here are some screenshots

There is some degree of coding conflict with iOS, and the “dark mode” option in settings. If you put your iPhone in “light mode”, it should resolve the issue when using smart invert. May require a reboot. By no means is this a fix, but it works. Time and time again Apple ignores little nuance issues with iOS. They rather focus on bringing a new iOS to market, to keep iPhone users interested in the brand. This screen bug has been an issue since dark mode first became an option in iOS. Ignored for quite some time.

I actually solved this one without doing a hard reset. I’m using an iPhone 8s w/IOS 13.3.1, haven’t updated to .2 yet; still don’t know how/why this issue started but was resolved by simply powering down the phone and powering it back up, no restart/reset/hard reset. If this doesn’t work for you maybe a hard reset is what you need to do and if that doesn’t work maybe take it to an Apple store or retailer/ifixit.

wish anyone reading this best of luck hope you resolve it as I did w out needing to replace or buy a new one, or having to downgrade to a lower model because of price.
