Logic X: audio recording offset ahead of the beat.

I’ve seen this problem mentioned years back, but nothing recently. It seems to have just started. I don’t know of any settings I might have changed.

Two possibilities come to mind.

In Logic's Preferences/Audio make sure Recording Delay is set to the Middle <zero samples> position.

Your project is using plugin(s) which use look-ahead technology, Use Low-Latency Mode for recording only, things will sound different as latency inducing plugins will be bypassed. Disable LLM for playback.
