In Mail app on iPad in bcc field I cannot enter an email address

Maybe not, but yes, I selected Bcc: and started to type a name, and the contacts dropped down. I then disconnected the keyboard and tested, and I got exactly what you show on the screen, so it seems the bug doesn't show with the Smart Keyboard attached. Someone might want to add that to their feedback.

That seems to be a recent glitch in iOS. Try turning the iPad to Portrait orientation when entering the Bcc addresses.

Thanks Chris. I have submitted feedback, noting the issue does appear on a Pro as well as an iPad 6. Also mentioned it appears to work as expected when using an external keyboard.

Interesting. I just read your post here, and opened Mail on my iPad Pro 11 and started a new mail and was able to enter an address. My iPad is in landscape mode and I have the Smart Keyboard attached. Not saying you are incorrect, just stating that mine seemed to work.

It’s possible it doesn’t affect the Pro? Or possibly with external keyboard?

Were you using the Bcc field?

Below is how it appears. As I start entering an address in the Bcc field, the Bcc appears. Unfortunately you can not select addresses from there.

Okay. Hope it gets cleared up. Also can show how sometimes some of us don't see a problem some people have seen, when there are differences in configuration of devices and additional equipment.

Thanks Chris. It was making me crazy having to input the complete addresses manually, until someone else posted the “turn to portrait mode” fix.
