Screen presses itself when headphones are plugged in

I’m not exactly sure how to explain it. It’s only started happening today and it’s driving me insane. Whenever I listen to a song and turn my phone off for some reason the song keeps skipping itself or just switches to random bits of a certain song. I use a dongle and I’ve had no issues with it until today, when it’s not plugged it everything works perfectly but when it is it just goes insane. Siri will pop up for no reason as well. Any ways I can fix this? I really don’t want to have to buy another dongle
