iPhone 7 - wifi won't work - button won't let me choose on

I can't get my wi-fi to work on my iPhone 7. I got to settings then wi-fi, but the on/off button stays gray and won't let me 'click' on it. Any ideas for troubleshooting?

Hi spencerfinch71,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I see you're unable to turn Wi-Fi on from your iPhone 7.

I recommend trying these steps below, from the resource titled If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network:

"Restart

Try restarting your iOS device. Here's how to restart your iPhoneiPad, or iPod touch.

Then restart your router, and cable or DSL modem. To restart your router or modem, unplug it, then plug it back in.

After you restart each device, see if you fixed the issue.

Still can’t connect?

Reset your Network Settings. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you’ve used before."

If you're still unable to turn it on or otherwise connect to Wi-Fi after those steps, use this link to Contact Apple Support.

Take care.
