Avoiding Highways Won’t Work
On my phone I have the map app set to “avoid highways”, but when I put a location into the app it only gives me options with highways. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
iPhone X, iOS 13

Hi there, Kboy98.
I see that the Maps application on your iPhone isn't providing the directions you're wanting. You've turned on "Avoid Highways", but that's all it presents when you get directions includes highway driving. I'm glad to help with this.
Use Maps on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- When you try to avoid highways when searching directions, you should see a message that a faster route is available near the top. The route that avoids highways should be the first one presented, with alternate routes which includes highways in the list at the bottom. If you're not seeing this message and all the routes include highways, go to Settings > Maps > Driving & Navigation, and make sure that "Highways" is still turned on.
Restart your iPhone -- If the setting was still on, restart your iPhone. Once it's back to the Home screen, test the issue.
Delete built-in Apple apps on your iOS 12, iOS 13, or iPadOS device or Apple Watch -- If restarting your device didn't resolve the issue, delete then restore the Maps application, and see if the issue's resolved.
Let me know how that goes, and take care!
