Move my own videos to iphone

This used to be part of iTunes, then the TV app, but now cannot figure out how to get my own videos to store on my iphone and play them. I don't want to use the Photos app, where I have a bunch of 3 minutes videos. These are hour long training videos etc that i want to watch on my phone. I tried putting in the TV app on my computer, and they are there, but they don't show in my Apple TV app on my phone.

Please sync them to your iPhone using iTunes

On Apple TV app on Map click on Sync Settings which will open finder for you Or Open Finder and click on your iPhone on the Side Bar
Click On Films
Select the Videos / Playlist you want to Sync
Sync

All your selected videos will be in Apple TV app on iPhone

Hi.. I am not sure what "Map" is.

So I need to physically connect my phone to my mac?
