Why won't Podcast play in Itunes

I have a PC running windows 10...I have Itunes installed (older version) 12. I download podcasts to listen to whilst jogging. I usually listen to the BBC desert Island discs and these all work fine. However I've subscribed to a Podcast called 'malicious Life' and it appears to download ok, however there is always a little cloud with a download arrow next to the podcast. I've tried re-downloading and sometimes get an exclamation mark ! saying network connect was reset. This is driving me nuts as I can't see why I can't download this and get it to play.

At a loss.....Can anyone please help?
