D-Link DIR 882 + iMac ethernet connection issue?

Hello!

I've got a little issue here and I need some help, please!

Recently I purchased a D-Link router to get a better Wi-Fi connection, and it has worked out in an amazing way so far! Great router and everything...but...

Everything that's wired (my PS4, Windows 10 devices, among others...) have worked within the wired connection so far, except for my iMac with Mac OS Catalina.

I've searched high and low in google, talked to D Link support tech but nothing so far!

Can I please get some help here, then?

Anyone with D-Link DIR 882 tried ethernet and had any issues on their iMacs or other Apple computers, notebooks, and such?

Please, someone help me, I'm desperate!

Sincerely,

Pedro Arthur.

All right guys this is what I have gathered so far:

I called D-Link support and apparently they never heard of any trouble within OS X and their routers, okay.

I used a Switch to connect the cable providing Ethernet to my PS4 (input) and used one of my notebook's cables (output) to connect it to both my PS4 and iMac. Both of them came out with internet...

All right, so, I went ahead and plugged the cable providing internet to my iMac (input) in the Switch. No connectivity for either PS4 or iMac, UNLESS I held the cable...

It seems I have a faulty cable here...

So, check your cables! I will change the connector of the cable hoping that's the problem, if it isn't...I have to either buy a new switch or change up the whole wired connections in my apartment. Either way, I'll keep you updated as soon as I upgrade the cable connector on my iMac.
