My iphone was hacked during a a zoom meeting

I was on a zoom meeting on my phone and i started seeing screens pop up and my camera came on and i saw myself on the screen. Someone hacked into my phone. I wasn’t able to turn it off at first but then i got it turned off. Now i am afraid to turn it back on. What do i do now?

Have you ever used your camera with Zoom before? That is, did you give the Zoom App permission to use you iPhone’s camera?


If so, what you saw was not your device being hacked, it was your zoom account and the zoom service itself that has the security flaw. Zoom has had a major security issue with an exploit that allows hacked accounts to access the devices camera - while I had not heard of it with iOS before (it was widely reported with MacOS and Windows last year), I would immediately contact Zoom support and change your Zoom password.
