Screen Fades to black

Hi everyone,

My MacBook Air screen keeps fading to mostly black in corner (either left or right bottom corner) or to completely black. Generally, I'm able to undo it with taping the space bar a couple of times. And a tried a few setting adjustments with regards to adjusting screen brightness etc. However that doesn't seem to help so far. So Therefore, I was wondering whether anyone would be able to help me.
