Iphone 8 plus

I bought iphone 8 plus through marketplace and I found it is locked I tried to contact seller several times but he forgot the real owner who is and dont know what is password cuz it been long time and he doesn't answer anymore so I contact carrier which is sprint and they inform me that they cant give me contact for first owner beside I checked IMEI and SN if it is stolen carrier said no so any help
