Safari freezing on Weather Underground and other pages

In the past week or so Safari keeps freezing on some website, e.g. Weather Underground. I'm an avid cyclist so I use this app all the time. I get the spinning ball and can't open any of the tabs. I can't open other page with but I can switch to open tabs of other pages. I can access WU just fine in Chrome. I've noticed the same lately on other sites, e.g. I couldn't login to my local online newspaper's E-Edition in Safari but I can in Chrome. This is another site I access multiple times/week.

I've reviewed my website permissions in Safari's preferences and have allowed everything, e.g. location sharing, auto play media, pop-ups, etc. I have also turned off or removed all my extensions with the exception of Last Pass.

Each time I've changed the preferences I've closed Safari and then re-opened it to see if it has fixed the problem.

I'm running the latest version of Catalina and always update my OS and apps promptly.

Says NOT Full Drive Access.

Make a New Location, Using network locations in Mac OS X ...

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2712

System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.

System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.

The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.

Sys Prefs>Network>highlight the Interface you're using>Advanced>TCP/IP>Configure IPv4: Using DHCP.

If using Wifi, instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.

System Preferences>Network>choose interface>Advanced>Proxies Tab, make sure none are set, like for HTTP & HTTPS.

System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...

Thanks.

Full access is enabled now.

I completed all the tasks you recommended

  1. Created a new Network Location
  2. Set network priority to ethernet
  3. IPV4 is using DHCP
  4. No proxies are set.
  5. I added the 4 DNS domains.

WU Underground is still freezing in Safari. It won't let me choose anything - the beachball appears in about 2 or 3 seconds. Same page works fine in Chrome. https://www.wunderground.com/weather/us/tx/fort-worth/KTXFORTW443

I ran Etrecheck again and copied the report to pastebin.

Here's the link to the new report: https://pastebin.com/His3b5vD

EtreCheck is a simple little app to display the important details of your system configuration and allow you to copy that information to the Clipboard. It is meant to be used with Apple Support Communities to help people help you with your Mac.

Pastebin is a good place to paste the whole report...

Or use the paperclip at the bottom of a Reply to attach the full report here. :)

Workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck.

There is also free Malwarebytes which may take care of it...

There are no extensions other than LastPass in Safari.

I'm not sure what you means by Sys Prefs. I searched in System Preferences for Extensions and didn't see any profiles other than what I think are the generic ones.

It's not worth the trouble of reinstalling since that page and others works in Chrome. Perhaps the problem will solve itself with the next update of the OS.

Thanks for all your help.
