Can someone point me to a tutorial for using the volume pointer for audio region. Seems to be missing in the manual.

The Volume and the Vibrato tools are used with Flex Pitch. You need to enable Flex to use them. Look in the Flex sections in the manual or search for "Volume Tool".

Be sure you get the Logic manual from the Apple Books app - Use the Bookstore. That way you can have it on all your devices. There are other Logic manuals from Apple available.

What exactly do you mean by volume pointer? The Automation tool?

In the Piano Roll window there is a pointer drop down panel for audio regions - The bottom icon is for a "volume" tool.
