Volume control via control center while on call using airpods pro

Hi All. i am facing this weird issue. When i am on call using airpods pro, i am unable to change volume using the control center volume section. I am able to change it only via buttons on the side of the iphone. However when playing media, the control center volume section works as it should.

While on call, i can max out the volume using physical buttons while having the volume on control center been set to zero !

I checked with Genius bar and the airpods pro that they had did the same. And they didnt have any solution.

Does anyone here know of a way to fix it ?

Or know of a upcoming fix for this issue ?

iPhone XR, iOS 13

Hello Blood Velocity,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand that while on a phone call using your AirPods Pro, you're unable to increase the volume of the call from the Control Center on your iPhone. You are however able to increase the volume using the Volume up/down button on your iPhone.

This is expected behavior as the audio card in the Control Center is designed to control the volume of media that's playing such as music, podcasts, videos:

Use and customize Control Center on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Connect and use your AirPods and AirPods Pro - Apple Support

Call volume is separate from media volume, and this would need to be adjusted using the Volume up/down button on the iPhone:
