Esc button from touchbar has disappeared

Hi all!

I'v got MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017) with Catalina10.15.2.

The escape button from the touchbar suddenly disappeared.

Perhaps this happened after one of the updates.

Any idea on how to bring it back ?

ESC button gone from touchbar I used this on the touch bar all the time and now its gone. I have seen complicated steps about resetting xyz, but i dont want to do that. i have also gone in to personalise my touch bar but there is no option to add ESC back. i have a modifier key set up to be my escape button for now but i am desperate to get my bar back to the way it was - all i had was esc,, sound and brightness. Instead, the escape key sits to the far left of the Touch Bar, basically where it is on a physical keyboard, but it isn't always there. Esc key option not available on the Touch Bar anymore I can't see the "Esc" key on the left side of the Touch Bar anymore, while watching any video in Safari. Is it removed in macOS Catalina? Does anybody know how to get the "Esc" key back on the Touch Bar?

Missing Escape Touch Bar Button My touch-bar no longer displays the "ESC" button when I am viewing something fullscreen. Where'd it go? (Started happening 1-2wk ago). I also have read I can make a physical key act as the escape button, but my touch-bar is meant to have the "Esc" button so I'd like it back :-)

I tried many ways already and I saw this documentation too, but no luck

But today I received and installed a new update on the Mac OS and my Escape on the touch bar appeared again.

I am happy again!
